What will you be doing:

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Junior Continuous Improvement Specialist in our Netherlands fulfillment center (FC) in Nieuwegein, which will be responsible for studying existing processes and looking for ways to increase efficiency and productivity while ensuring quality and safety protocols are met. This role will educate employees on continuous improvement principles and practices in order to drive process improvement, and report to the Senior Production Manager..

Some of the tasks you will be responsible for are:

  • Use their data analysis skills to gather and analyze data from various sources to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to address them
  • Benchmark site performance within the organization while referencing Industry Best Practices to develop a prioritized set of improvement initiatives
  • Develop and participate in continuous improvement auditing at all levels of the organization. Make recommendations and drive to implement sustainable solutions.
  • Drive the Continuous Improvement organization engage the workforce, demonstrate effective team facilitation skills to engage the various teams to deliver improvement results on time
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies to streamline processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements
  • Collect and analyze data to measure process performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Assist in developing and delivering training programs to ensure that employees understand and adhere to new processes
  • Implement the standardized continuous improvement toolbox and creation of SOP’s.
  • Implementation of Lean projects, including: application of lean tools to eliminate waste, workstation design, markings and labels, time studies, documentation, presentations. Apply Lean activities and tools to the day-to-day business
  • Develop and maintain metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of process improvement initiatives and business objectives.

Requirements

  • You are passionate about driving change and improving business operations. You are a confident, self-starter that is capable of recognizing improvement opportunities and developing specific initiatives that result in an impactful, sustainable change across the organization.
  • Bachelor degree in business, engineering, or a related field required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in process improvement, data analysis, or a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills and organization skills, must be comfortable teaching and presenting to large groups at all levels of the organization from shop floor to CEO.
  • Must be proficient in Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, especially with Excel and in various analysis tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with CI principles and tools.
  • Ability to write a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form..
  • Organized, disciplined, and motivated to succeed
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Experience with project management methodologies is a plus
