The Job
Onera Health is looking for a Senior Verification Engineer - Systems and Software responsible for verification of systems (including connected devices and mobile and cloud applications) in the context of delivering solutions to healthcare organisations. You will join a multi-disciplinary team of biomedical engineers, signal processing and algorithm experts, software developers and clinicians passionate about bringing medical devices to market. You will make a difference by bringing your expertise in software verification, scripting and automation and a great attention for detail. You will be responsible for the overall quality of the software produced within the team and ensure that Onera releases high quality software and systems.

Key Responsibilities -- What you will do:
- Define (in collaboration with other team members) the test approach/strategy for Onera’s systems and software applications (comprising of devices, pc/mobile application, and web/cloud applications)
- Define test scenarios and test steps at various levels of the system and solution
- Execute (software) subsystem and integrated system verification plans (incl. UI verification and end2end verification)
- Report and document test results in test reports and enter defects and issues into the defect tracking system - monitors and updates defects as needed including defect closure
- Create, investigate, and verify problem reports
- Review requirements and maintain traceability to verification test cases ensuring that all (system and subsystem) requirements are adequately tested
- Be in an integral part of the software development team and build test automation scripts and methods/tools and implement test cases throughout the (software) development lifecycle
- Work in compliance with company quality processes (ISO13485 and IEC 62304) for medical device development
Requirements
What you will bring:
- MSc or BSc degree in computer science, electronics, electrical, mechanical engineering, and a broad technical understanding and interest in medical devices
- Minimum of 3 year experience in a (complex) system verification role
- Extensive experience in verifying mobile and/or cloud applications
- Experience in execution of (software) subsystem and system level tests both functional and non-functional (e.g. reliability, performance, security, etc.) including design, preparation and implementation of tests
- Experience with different test automation frameworks e.g. Pytest, Selenium
- Experience with implementing test setups and (automated) test scripts with Python
- Past experience in verification role in the context of medical device development is a strong plus
- Ability to write and edit technical documents such as test protocols and technical reports
- A pragmatic, creative, flexible attitude with a result driven, can-do mentality
- Good familiarity with Git, Jira, CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with security or performance testing of cloud applications is a plus
