Job Description

Asset Impact (AI) is an impact-driven climate start-up. We are seeking a Client Engagement Analyst covering the European market, whose primary responsibilities will be to support the end-to-end client engagement process, spanning from product demonstration, client acquisition, client delivery, post-delivery support to overall account management. The Client Engagement Analyst will support the sales process and develop strong relationships with new and existing clients to identify expansion opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and analytical, enjoy solving technical and nontechnical problems and engaging externally with clients and key partners. S.he will be able to quickly build knowledge of our products, based on previous experience in sustainability and/or ESG topics, and understand the market in Europe and United Kingdom.

This role is expected to liaise with AI’s functional teams to improve the full client experience, including Business Development, Product, Delivery amp; Support, and Marketing amp; Communications.

Responsibilities

We work with large global financial institutions, governments, consultancies, and research organizations to help catalyse action on climate change. In your role, you will build, manage and support relationships with new prospects and existing clients and partners, which includes tasks in various areas:

Business Development

  • Identify and approach potential new clients in EMEA, with a strong focus on Europe and the UK.
  • Support overall business development activities in the region and help improve the related processes.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and introduction meetings with prospective clients, drive and/or support follow-up activities.
  • Identify business opportunities with existing clients and pursue these opportunities to completion, in collaboration with the Chief Business Development Officer.

Client Delivery amp; Support

  • Prepare and deliver data products and analyses to European clients. Help to improve client delivery activities.
  • Research and prepare responses to clients’ support queries in collaboration with the Business and Data teams.

Account Management

  • Build and manage long-term relationships with clients, understand their use cases and challenges. Continuously improve the overall client experience and maximize client retention, via proactive relationship-focused engagement.
  • Manage schedules for client renewals and engage clients accordingly.
  • Assist the Business Development and Product teams in developing, implementing and managing best-in-class account management strategies.
  • Provide inputs to the Product team for the improvement of existing products and the development of new products.

Requirements

Required skills

  • Passion for sustainability, ideally with previous experience in the fields of climate, data and/or the financial industry.
  • 3 years of experience working in a client-facing role, for example in a consultant, sales or client management role.
  • Experience in conducting presentations and communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding of major European financial organizations and familiarity with any climate initiatives underway.
  • Experience with performing technical research and analysing data.
  • Experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Attention to detail and organisation of processes.
  • English as a working language, and fluency in another language (Spanish, Italian, French, German).

Preferred skills

  • Proven experience and track record in sales and business development.
  • Established network in Europe and/or the UK, related to sustainability and climate teams in financial institutions, non-profit organization and/or academics. A network in Asia-Pacific related to these topics is a plus.
