Specific Working Conditions: The person will be part of the NCIA CSU Brunssum Facility Management Section. The work will be mainly performed in offices and technical rooms. The person should be fit enough to carry IT equipment, crawl under desks and work on equipment at the top and bottom of equipment racks.

Duties and Role:

• Based on specific Service Orders install, uninstall and re-route circuits.
• Install network devices (switches, telephones, workstations, media converters,...).
• Executes equipment interconnections and termination of patch cords for LAN network equipment to include telephones, workstations, switches and media converters.
• Provides Level 1 assistance to the ESOC (Enterprise Service Operations Centre) and Service Lines for incident resolution.
• Participates in incident resolution.
• Responsible for the engineering/installation of fiber optic and CAT-type cabling (i.e. CAT-5/6/7)

Requirements

Skill, Knowledge amp; Experience:

• The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
• Experience in general telecommunication theory and practice, especially in the area of copper and fiber data cable installation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of LAN architecture and network switching/routing technologies and computer hardware.
• Experience of wiring and cabling in accordance with wiring regulations and ITU-T standards.
