Lead Infrastructure Engineer

We are building an inclusive, human-centred product and are looking for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to become part our remote team and our mission to elevate the human experience of sexuality and relationships.

To be right for this role, you should have previous experience owning the direction of the infra platform working with engineering and leadership to build a scalable, resilient and distributed infrastructure platform. Providing leadership and mentorship to a small team that is part of a wider programme of work.

• Own the direction of the infra platform, working with engineering and leadership to build a scalable, resilient and distributed platform.
• Analyse and optimise system performance ensuring the reliability and availability of our infrastructure.
• Support development teams with Cloud first architectural design and support platform enhancements in the IAC codebase.
• Ensure the platform is available to our global members with ambitious uptime targets and continuous delivery of features and enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, and QA to deliver high-quality features and improvements to our members.

Requirements

• You are a leader, able to direct and mentor a small team whilst project managing from planning through to delivery, reporting progress throughout.
• You have demonstrable experience working in AWS.
• You are experienced in building, supporting and monitoring cloud infrastructures.
• You are an Infrastructure as Code advocate with working experience of Terraform, CDK, Cloudformation or similar
• You have a solid understanding of networks, vpns, routing and the wider sysops space
• You are experienced with SecOps and maintaining a secure and compliant environment CI/CD practices including blue/green, canary and immutable infrastructures.
• You are experienced in utilising Operational visibility tools to provide Single pane of glass and health of the platform.

Bonus points:

• You have experience supporting multi-region platforms.
• You have experience performance testing and tuning cloud infrastructure.
• You have had involvement in ensuring a platform meets CIS / NIST or other relevant compliance regulation.
