Duties and Role:
- Coordinate with the Engineering and Maintenance Branch (EMB) and relevant sections to assist with the development and coordination of documents and drawing requirements for projects and tasks involving multiple sections, to comply with Agency DCIS SLA requirements and supporting NCI Agency Configuration Management.
- Maintain awareness of deployable assets including equipment status and the tracking of future system activities (current operational status, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications, exercises and testing)
- Ensures that technical manuals, documents, and drawings are kept updated and advise if amendments are required. Follow the NCI Agency business model and existing management plans, policies and procedures and ensure that all work undertaken is authorized and correctly documented, providing drawing and technical documentation to Service owners, engineers and technicians and assisting in asset management with logistic handover/takeover handbooks and documents.
- Provide weekly reports to EMB Management, RMB and daily reporting as necessary.
Requirements
Skill, Knowledge amp; Experience:
- The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
- 3-5 years' experience working with Computer Aided Design systems.
- Experienced in the use of ASD Simplified Technical English (ASD-STE100), formerly known as AECMA Simplified English and mandatory for writing aerospace and defense documentation.
- Experienced in Microsoft Visio in creating, modifying CIS systems or network diagrams or demonstrating advance vocational training in any other Computer-Aided Design software tailor to CIS and networking.
- Proven experience in ADP demonstrating knowledge in Computer Essentials, Word Processing and IT Security.
- Experience in the development and support for maintaining a documentation library for CIS assets and related project documents.
- Proven ability to work with and create documentation such as Technical manuals, Network topologies (both physical and logical) and CIS handover/ takeover (HO/TO Manuals).
- Experience with using Graphical User Interface and command line interface applications and the reporting of details of hardware and software installed for configuration management.
- Working knowledge or experience with the Oracle logistics tool (i.e. Oracle Order Management/Inventory Management).
- Should demonstrate good communication skills, be able to explain concepts to managers, provide instructions to colleagues, deliver presentations and write clear-cut, non-ambiguous technical reports and documents.
