About the role
As a Principal Android Engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping the success of our mobile apps team and the overall experience of our customers. Using cutting-edge technologies and ensuring the highest coding standards, you will directly contribute to the seamless and efficient delivery of our mobile platform.
Working in a close-knit team environment cross-functional team that fosters collaboration and innovation, your ownership and expertise will enable regular app shipments, further solidifying our position as a leading personalized gifting platform in the market.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Craft Android apps using Kotlin and MVVM architecture, integrating cutting-edge technologies like GraphQL, Room, and LiveData.
- Ensure rigorous code testing, enabling regular shipments and adhering to superior coding norms.
- Advocate for and uphold top-tier coding standards in our dynamic engineering realm.
- Contribute to the team's continuous learning and pursuit of excellence.
Impact and Contributions:
- Your efforts will sculpt our mobile apps team's triumph and the holistic customer experience.
- Directly influence the seamless rollout of our mobile platform with your expertise and dedication.
- Your ownership will facilitate regular app launches, further cementing our status as a premier personalized gifting platform.
- Your active involvement spanning UI/UX Design, mobile and backend development, and more will create holistic app magnificence.
- Proactively identify architectural prospects and challenges, partnering with engineering leadership to address them proactively.
- Make informed decisions on impactful innovations and set architecture best practices that span teams.
- Design engineering components that augment efficiency, reduce intricacy, and elevate reliability across various departments.
- Steer domain-wide engineering initiatives from conception to operationalization, motivating engineers to manifest the technical vision.
Experience and Attributes we’d like to see:
- Possess over 7 years of hands-on involvement in Android mobile app development.
- Demonstrate leadership acumen, guiding engineers and serving as a mentor in an Individual Contributor (IC) capacity.
- Exhibit a history of constructing and sustaining extensive engineering projects. Technical Proficiency: Excel in Kotlin, Android Studio, API Design, and relevant tools.
- Navigate contemporary mobile frameworks adeptly. Design amp; Dev Insight: Exhibit a profound grasp of design patterns, architectural principles, and mobile development best practices.
- Exhibit exceptional communication talents to facilitate effective inter-team collaboration.
- Tackle intricate technical challenges, providing inventive resolutions.
