Requirements
The Role
The Director of Product Development and Next Generation Set-Top-Box is responsible for Entertainment portfolio. He/She is responsible to build and lead high-performing product development teams for next-generation home entertainment platform and innovative products.
The role will deliver a wide variety of home entertainment services and features including set-top box, OTT, and mobile/web apps. He/she will directly influence organization’s business vision and define product roadmap amp; strategy. While developing the next generation products, he/she ensures the high quality and high performance of the product with a exceptional level of Customer Satisfaction
The Director of Product Development will actively contribute to the organization’s PAN-EU expansion and consumer market strategy interacting with multiple country leads and cross-functional teams and departments. Strengthening the brand will be the key motive through outstanding innovative products.
You will have proficient analytical skills with critical thinking driven by facts and data points. You are aware of the latest technology trends, industry, and society trends in the entertainment domain. You also have a complete understanding of product development best practices and standards of the entertainment domain. You must have an open mindset to change amp; adapt for the benefit of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for definition and execution of organization wide product vision to achieve exceptional Customer Experience
- Managing large budgets for demand vs delivery based on the business need. Responsible to prove ROI and business value.
- Collaboration with organizational verticals and functional leads to achieve the common business goals
- Prepare and lead on the business cases and contribute to the decision-making with VP amp; CxO
- Lead large teams of senior resources like Product Managers amp; Product Owners
- Assist and advise senior leaders (VP/CxO) to describe and align business outcomes and product strategy based on objectives and KPIs
- Direct team for development of new innovative product and maintain legacy product for full excellence for the quality and performance with exceptional customer experience
- Build, lead, develop and mentor team of senior members like product managers, product owners (e.g.: TV Apps, On-Demand Features, TV User Interface), designers, and analysts.
- Enable, empower, and integrate cross functional teams for UX experiments, persona-based research, market research, technology innovations and product discovery processes for development of products efficiently
- Lead Product development, co-ordinate implementations, and product rollouts with service recipients of multiple geographies/countries across the Pan-EU region
- Initiate and conclude strategic partnerships with vendors/suppliers and partners
- Enforce data point-based analytics, decision, and critical thinking to resolve major delivery and team conflicts
- Lead overall product strategy, operating model improvements and implement new approaches, standards, frameworks, and best practices for product developments in the entertainment domain
- Lead and run the ringi (Business Case Decisions) for upcoming bus
