Legal Counsel
OnLogic, Netherlands

We are looking for someone to join our team in the Netherlands as an advisor to the business on contracts and who has an interest in learning about, and eventually advising on, other legal topics such as employment law, privacy law, intellectual property law, international law, insurance, etc. Primary initial responsibilities will include reviewing, negotiating, editing, and drafting contractual documents relating to all types of agreements, including sales contracts, contractor and consultant agreements, engineering design agreements, purchasing agreements, confidentiality agreements, service agreements, and intellectual property licenses.

On an average day, you'll...

• Work closely with our General Counsel (US - based) to meet internal and external stakeholder needs while minimizing company risk.
• Facilitate the contract review process through our contract management system, including reviewing and drafting contracts, providing advice to business personnel, participating in contract negotiations and coordinating contract review by other attorneys.
• Oversee maintenance of our contract management database, including entry of new contract review requests, tracking status of contract reviews, and reporting as requested.
• Provide information and reporting related to contracts metrics for the Company.
• Assist in other corporate projects within the legal department or Company as requested.
• Oversee outside counsel (on occasion)
• Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned.

The team you will be joining

Our legal team negotiates fair and reasonable terms with our customers and suppliers, ensures our compliance with all relevant laws, statutes, and international rules, files trademark and patent applications, and assists in many other business functions to facilitate adherence to relevant legal standards. The legal department works with all areas of the business to create, review and maintain processes that ensure our interactions with customers, vendors and each other are at the highest legal standards and that we avoid taking unnecessary legal risks.

Requirements

• LLB, LLM, or Juris Doctor
• 1-3+ years of experience as a practicing lawyer admitted to the Dutch bar.
• Contract drafting/negotiation experience preferred.
• Experience counseling and presenting to senior executives is preferred.

• Entrepreneurial-minded with a strong drive and desire to be part of a rapidly growing business.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, colleagues, and external contacts.

Benefits

The salary range for this role is 3.000,- to 4.000,- per month. We determine final compensation based on discussions with applicants and their experience in similar roles.
