Reports to (Associate) Director Modeling and Meta-Analysis

Job Summary

As a Research Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing robust, innovative software solutions for statistical analysis, simulations, and intuitive dashboard reports. Your work will help drive patients' access to novel healthcare interventions across the globe.

Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications for statistical analysis and simulations in the field of health economics and outcomes research.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand research requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient, standardized, and user-friendly software solutions.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of statistical algorithms, contributing to the credibility of research findings.
  • Create interactive and visually compelling dashboard reports to communicate research findings effectively.
  • Collaborate with user experience (UX) designers to enhance the accessibility and usability of interactive reports.
  • Implement best practices for code review and version control to maintain a high standard of software quality.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in any relevant science, such as health economics, econometrics, economics, pharmacy, epidemiology, statistics, medical sciences, or computer science.
  • Proficient in R and familiar with the tidyverse.
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git (and GitHub).
  • Comfortable with models and statistics.
  • You’re passionate about writing reproducible, efficient, tidy, readable, and testable code.
  • Self-starter, autodidact.
  • Experience with survival analysis, network meta-analysis, simulation, health-economic modeling would be preferable.
  • Experience with web development, D3.js, a JavaScript framework (preferably Vue.js) and TypeScript would be preferable.

Travel Requirements

  • International and domestic as required for team and client meetings/conferences as required by business needs
