Reports to Senior Research Consultant MMA

Job Summary

As a Research Analyst at OPEN Health, you will be an essential contributor to our team, working across a range of projects with ownership of specific deliverables and timelines.

Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities

  • Undertaking statistical and health economic research tasks, with support and guidance from senior consultants, by carrying out analyses including:

o Synthesize data quantitatively (meta-analysis and indirect treatment comparisons) and qualitatively with minimal supervision.

o Survival analysis, including flexible and innovative methods

o Fitting bespoke statistical models onto clinical trial level data to aid extrapolation into the future and provide parameter estimates for economic models

o Bayesian analysis, fitting Bayesian models to both aggregate reported data and patient-level data to estimate treatment-specific clinical-relevant outcomes

  • Identifying and developing statistical methodologies and strategies in partnership with project teams
  • Assisting in the production and internal dissemination of statistical code for standard analysis
  • Drafting project reports and other deliverables
  • Adhering to project budgets and timelines
  • Supporting client interactions and outreach to ensure exceptional client satisfaction
  • Responding to requests for proposals as directed

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in any relevant science, such as health economic, econometrics, economics, pharmacy, epidemiology, statistics, mathematics or medical sciences
  • Proven programming skills in R. Experience with building packages, version control, RMarkdown and Shiny would be an advantage
  • Quantitative skillset
  • Knowledge of health economic modeling and network meta-analysis (NMA) would be an advantage
  • Intellectual curiosity and independence, to include the ability to self-start and self-teach
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) along with the ability to question the status quo
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex statistical methods to other team members and external stakeholders
  • Proactive, responsive and able to balance shifting priorities
  • Team player, but also able to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Full proficiency in MS Office programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Highly proficient in both spoken and written English, any other language is a plus

Travel Requirements

  • International and domestic as required for team and client meetings/conferences as required by business needs
