What is the project about?
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled DevOps engineer to join the dynamic team of one of the biggest Telecom companies in the Netherlands. In this crucial role, you'll play a central part in the clients Logfile Management initiatives, leveraging the capabilities of the Data Services Hub. We seek an individual passionate about security, particularly with a focus on Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). This role is vital for supporting a product that operates 24/7, aiming for maximum reliability and performance to benefit the clients users.
Responsibilities
- Drive innovation and sustain scalable, high-performance solutions utilizing languages such as Scala or Rust, with a focus on efficiently processing large volumes of data.
- Demonstrate complete ownership of your creations, overseeing their entire lifecycle from initial design to continuous operational support.
- Develop and optimize operational processes, leveraging extensive knowledge of DevOps practices to improve system reliability and efficiency.
- Explore streaming technologies like Kafka and incorporate principles such as Data Mesh to enhance data architecture.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the team, actively supporting both internal and external stakeholders with a mindset of cooperation and mutual growth.
- Take the lead in mentoring and guiding team members, cultivating a culture of continuous learning and development among colleagues and customers, while promoting diversity of thought and approach.
Job requirements
- Profound expertise inScala, Rust, or similar languages, with a focus on building resilient, scalable solutions;
- Experience in handling high-volume data processing with precision;
- Strong understanding of streaming technologies, especiallyKafka, and familiarity withdata architecture concepts like Data Mesh;
- Proven experience in developing and refining operational processes within a DevOps framework;
- Exceptional teamwork andmentoring skills, embracing diversity and inclusivity in the workplace;
- Fluent in English, with a preference for Dutch speakers;
- A proactive, goal-oriented mindset, eager for continuous learning and personal growth.
