with your colleagues you will build and manage the Azure platform for the client, and keep it in top condition. As a DevOps Engineer you will design and manage complex and large environments for the clients customer applications. Together with your colleagues within DCI you will take the organization into the new world, the world of Public Cloud! As a DevOps team and based on the Agile Way of Working, you add customer value in close consultation with stakeholders. With passion, professionalism and focus on results! You continuously contribute to your own development and that of your colleagues by applying yourself broadly or by delving into certain activities and then sharing knowledge with your team. Together you possess all the knowledge you need.
Responsibilities
You work in the heart of one of the largest Telecom companies in the Netherlands . DC Infra is part of the Network domain and together with your colleagues you work on the vital infrastructure of the Netherlands! Stability, safety and quality are therefore paramount. You enjoy contributing to the Network of the Netherlands.
- You enjoy working together in a team and have the ability to see through complex environments quickly;
- You can handle multiple, complex (innovation) projects simultaneously and understand the importance of our services.;
- You are able to advise and disseminate knowledge within and outside your team;
- Cost is an important metric in Public Cloud. So you are able to analyze and advise on costs in the Cloud and where possible implement policies in advance;
- You use your expertise to ensure service continuity in all ongoing and new developments;
- With your acquired knowledge and experience you can make an important contribution to the further development of the Public Cloud environment.
Job requirements
- HBO work and thinking level;
- At least 3 years of work experience in Azure;
- Good knowledge of security and the relevant implementation for the Cloud;
- Good analytical working and thinking skills;
- Agile mindset and knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, DevOps or other Agile working methods;
- Good social and communication skills, you can work well with others both within your domain and outside it (e.g. Finance);
- Good command of English and Dutch is an advantage (the consultations and documents are in Dutch and English).
- Knowledge of scripting / automation / CICD
- Knowledge of Azure CLI / Powershell
- Knowledge of 1 of the programming languages (e.g., C#)
Some other technologies you might work with / Nice to have:
- Azure certifications (at least AZ900, AZ104 (and AZ400) and other relevant certificates)
- Experience with CloudFinOps concepts and best practices
