Project Manager

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a professional Project Manager to join our UniQue The Hague team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our customers in the public sector and you will be responsible for developing new business by identifying profitable opportunities, maintaining your client portfolio by building strong, long-lasting relationships, and monitoring the progress of the projects, with the aim to provide excellent client service and added value services.

What will you be bringing to the team?

• Coordinating the execution of the projects in accordance with European Institution project governance standards and project management methodology (adapted from Prince 2 and Agile);
• Managing the governance through regular project meetings, checkpoints and boards of assigned projects, keeping stakeholders informed with up-to-date information at all times and ensuring appropriate decision making.
• Ensuring that all relevant project management documentation, including a realistic plan agreed among all stakeholders, is in place in the project management system at any given time. This includes participating directly in the production of project management deliverables;
• Managing the implementation of information systems to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality
• Coordinating the production and approval of project deliverables by the services, at the specified quality level and in accordance with the project implementation plan;
• Managing the required change and approval processes with the governance bodies of European Institution, including the security accreditation process when applicable;
• Ensuring the project implementation in accordance with the scope, budget and man days specified in the project implementation documentation;
• Identifying and proactively addressing all dependencies, issues and risks affecting the project;
• Keeping overview and control of the budget and resources available to the project and undertake the necessary steps to correct deviations either through the financial procedures or through resource management processes, this includes timely and up-to-date including reporting;
• Interacting and communicating with European Institution’s relevant internal stakeholders for the purpose of project implementation and monitoring, including regular project progress reporting;
• Coordinating the different project work streams and manage dependencies
• Supervising the delivery of products and services by external suppliers in accordance with the contracts in place, addressing and resolving issues and risks related to the relationship with those suppliers.
• Estimating costs, timescales and resource requirements for yearly demand cycle.
• Providing effective leadership for the project team ensuring that team members are motivated and constantly developing their skills and experience.

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position?

· Bachelor Degree

· More than 6 years of experience in Project Management

· A minimum of 3 years of experience in standard project management tools such as MS Project

· Good technical ICT knowledge in order to drive areas of ICT infrastructure, systems integration, software development and COTS application implementation projects

· Capability of working in an international/multi-cultural environment

· Excellent knowledge and experience with project and programme management

· Excellent knowledge of project management standards and methodologies

· Knowledge of planning and estimation techniques

· Strong leadership capabilities

· Strong communication skills in English

· Certification: PM Certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, Scaled Agile or similar

· Working knowledge of English on B2 or higher level

Desirable

· A minimum of 1 year of experience in centralised project management tooling such as Project Server or MS SharePoint

· Proven knowledge of reporting methods

· Good knowledge of Public IT procurement, (EU) tendering processes and contract management throughout project lifecycles

· Knowledge of data protection rules

· Knowledge on running projects in highly regulated and secure environments

· Knowledge of data migration concepts and strategies

· Strong presentation skills in English
