What is the project about?
We are seeking a Business Analyst to join NL Development Squad, located in Amsterdam, NL, and to be a member of wider development team. BA will work with one or more business units supporting multiple complex assigned projects aimed at delivering IT solutions and services that meet company cost, quality, and strategic targets. Person selected for this exciting new role will be provided with the opportunity to perform a mixture of hands-on analyses and scrum master responsibilities for Squad. Role will focus on gathering and analyzing work group data, defining current processes and requirements, researching best practices, and identifying and documenting process improvements and functional specifications.
Responsibilities
- Work with Product Owner and/or business stakeholders to prioritize features, identify process gaps amp; improvements based on business Objectives, customer value and manage delivery by assisting with the product backlog, roadmap and strategy.
- Ability to understand and engage actively within data design and delivery forums to ensure that the stated business requirements can be broken down into actionable segments and will be met.
- Analyze, define and document complex requirements and business processes and develop complex systems specifications, process flow, and conversion strategies
- Create complex technical and functional user documentation and contribute to the development of new tools, processes and solutions to meet desired product needs
- Follow business processes, protocols and quality standards for development and deployment of complex solutions and maintain stakeholder expectations and raise appropriate issues to project managers as necessary
- Develop trusted advisor relationship with senior stakeholders through effective communication and efficient, quality execution on projects.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into user stories and functional specifications
- Identify and document process improvements based on best practice research and analysis of work group data
- Work with remote development teams, internal IT and business teams to ensure requirements are being met
Job requirements
- 5+ years’ working as technology-specific Business Analyst (BA) for development projects with focus on .NET
- Experience as BA working in Agile environment and with development methodologies -Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.
- BS/BA degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience required
- ISEB-qualified BA holding IIBA CBAP certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of conceptual data and UML modeling and data flows, analysis and processing
- Previously worked as BA and performed BA responsibilities for complex and/or large IT projects with focus on full software development life cycle (SDLC); .NET platform; and, Agile, Scrum, Kanban etc. methodologies.
- Have worked in the data related project and any experience around Azure Data lake, data factory would be plus.
- Broad understanding of software development methodologies and strong facilitation skills with ability to facilitate workshops across all organization levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
