Your opportunity

• You will experience the culture of a technology scale-up with a social mission and work in an international environment with 50 SkillLabers from +26 countries.
• You will make a positive change in the world by testing simple, crafted and useful products that elevate the people who use them.
• You will gain hands-on experience in manual testing.
• You will gain an understanding of manual testing practises and develop your manual testing techniques.

Your team

You will join the engineering team as our new Software Quality Assurance intern. You will work closely with and report to Luiza who is the first QA engineer that joined the team and built our QA function. You will also cooperate with Nathany who works as a QA engineer.

Your impact

• You will provide quality assurance testing for software issues
• You will create and write test scenarios
• You will maintain the test library
• You will manually test software and identify bugs and other issues
• You will collaborate with our software engineers to improve QA processes

Your skills

• You have a demonstrated interest in software engineering, programming and Quality Assurance in specific.
• You have a study background in software engineering or a similar field.
• You are excited about our social mission to empower everyone to have a pathway to employment.
• You have strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Extra awesome

• You already have some internship experience in software engineering, QA or a related field

Requirements

• You are eligible to work in the Netherlands. We don’t support visa applications for applicants from outside the EU.

• You are currently enrolled as a student or graduated within the last 12 months.
• You are able to commit to a six month internship.

• This is a paid internship. If you live in Amsterdam or relocate to Amsterdam during your internship, then the monthly reimbursement is will be 1.000 EUR.
• You can do the internship by living in another city in the Netherlands and commuting to the office 1-2 days per week. If you do the internship remotely, then the monthly reimbursement will be 700 EUR. SkillLab covers your train commuting expenses to Amsterdam.
• We accept applications on rolling basis and we envision a start date as soon as possible.

Our selection procedure

1. You apply for the role and we review your profile.
2. We will invite you for a short screening call.
3. We will invite you for a 60min interview if we find that you are a good fit. The interview will involve you preparing a short assignment.
4. We will offer you the internship and discuss logistics, if we think that you are the ideal candidate for the role.
