The opportunity

If you are looking for a challenging and exciting career in the world of RF Modules, then stop looking! At Forefront RF you can join our collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering team. You will take responsibility in ensuring our RF Module Designs will be developed to meet our customers’ requirements, and can be produced in high volume. You will also ensure that our products fit into our customers applications, both electrically but also mechanically.

You will be actively involved in the development of all IP-blocks and sub systems to ensure and realize a smooth integration on module level. You will drive the integrated module across all development phases to release for volume production and support the initial production phase.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring RF modules meet all their specifications.
• Work with internal and external IC design teams who design integrated digital tunable capacitors, Power Amplifiers, Low Noise Amplifiers, RF switches, digital interfaces and power management solutions, etc.
• Integrate these design blocks on our multi-chip module ensuring low loss, high performance implementations
• Optimise layouts for size and performance
• Work with the applications, systems, algorithm and software teams to optimise module performance in the application
• Work with internal stakeholders and test teams to define and deliver the module test plan
• Work in a fast paced highly innovative start/scale up environment
• Communicate and collaborate effectively and efficiently
• Document your results and other work and share with team members

Requirements

Qualifications

• Previous experience in developing modules or sub-systems for high volume production
• Knowledge of low noise, low power, high linearity design techniques for 4G/5G RF front-end modules
• Experienced with RF fundamentals, like impendence matching, Smith charts, passive RLC, filter designs (pole/zero analysis), linearity, harmonics, etc.
• Electronics experience and familiarity with standard interfaces such as MIPI RFFE would be an advantage
• Experienced in using ADS, Microwave Office and similar simulation tools
• Some experience in the use of RF test equipment such as Noise Meters, VNA, Spectrum Analyzer in execution of Gain, NF, IIP3, and Isolation measurements and troubleshooting
