Web Portal Java Developer

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Web Portal Java Developer to join our UniQue team.

What will you be bringing to the team?

• Develop new Java modules (Java 8 or higher), including portlets following JSR-286, based on Spring Framework or Liferay DXP OSGI, including JUnit tests (based on JUnit 5);
• Prepare SQL scripts for Microsoft SQL Server
• Maintain Microsoft Azure DevOps pipelines
• Prepare releases using Microsoft Azure DevOps (pipelines with MAVEN)
• Work with GIT following Europol’s procedures
• Deploy release packages using Microsoft Azure DevOps pipelines on Linux (RHEL 8)
• Fixing problems and improving existing modules
• Make Groovy scripts for Liferay DXP
• Give 3rd line support
• Write clean, secure and high quality code
• Document modules and installation procedures
• Work comfortably within a team. Follow Scrum procedures and disciplines. Estimate the work to be done upon request
• Communicate in a clean, concise way, not only to peers but also to upper layers when needed

Requirements

What will you be bringing to the team?

• Bachelor's degree with minimum 6 years of working experience
• More than 6 years of professional experience in Java and web portals development
• More than 6 years of professional experience with Java portlets JSR-286
• More than 3 years of professional experience with CI/CD using MAVEN and GIT
• More than 3 years of professional experience with Liferay portal
• More than 3 years of professional experience with Liferay portal EE or DXP
• Good knowledge of Java 8 or higher
• Good knowledge of web portal development with Java
• Good knowledge of Java portlets RFC-286
• Good knowledge of Eclipse IDE
• Good knowledge of MAVEN
• Good knowledge of GIT
• Good knowledge of Linux
• Good knowledge of Liferay Portal development

Desirable:

• More than 5 years of professional experience with Liferay DXP version 7 or 7.3
• More than 3 years of professional experience with SQL scripts for MS SQL
• More than 3 years of professional experience with Spring Framework
• More than 2 years of professional experience with Elastic Stack
• More than 2 years of professional experience with working in a project following SCRUM process
• Good knowledge of Liferay Developer Studio
• Good knowledge of Liferay DXP (OSGI) development
• Good knowledge of JUnit 5 + Mockito
• Good knowledge of Spring Framework 5.X
• Good knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8
• Good knowledge of BASH scripts
• Good knowledge of Groovy scripts
• Good knowledge of Elastic Stack version 7.X
