This position requires a minimum of 10 years of finance and commercial experience in a world-class best practices business service and/or Enterprise software environment. The Commercial Finance Director will be responsible for driving/leading business performance by partnering with multiple business leaders in our Go-to-Market EMEA team to influence and assist in the deal structuring, pricing and reporting of complex transactions, strategic alliances and/or contracts with third party vendors. He/ She will ensure that management information is accurate and reflects the performance of the business.The development and implementation of revenue recognition policies, procedures and controls for pricing practices, commercial transactions, cash collections and sales compensation. He/ She will lead and work closely with others to establish and approve terms and conditions of all revenue-related matters.The Commercial Finance Director will analyze financial information and prepare relevant financial reports to keep senior management informed, including Budgeting and Forecasting cycles for EMEA.What you will be doing: Management/Analysis · Provide financial direction/support to operations and sales functions on revenue related activities (i.e., US GAAP and Annual Recurring Revenue ARR)· Establish, maintain, and enforce best practices, processes and controls with HQ Finance related to pricing, contracting and compliance· Develop business plans with the Sales Leader, based on market research and data analytics, on new/emerging growth markets and new commercial strategies driving core KPIs and metrics· Represent the Company in external strategic negotiations and/or in external networking for business development or branding optimization· Monitor market and existing customers risk and opportunity trends in order to grow and retain revenue· Stay abreast and analyze commercial activities and keep finance, operations and sales up-to-date to strengthen sales forecasting and weekly deal pacing· Manage all commercial activities to meet budget or improvements on cost, volume and efficiency targets for short and long-term regional plans· Enable a proactive and collaborative culture between Sales and Finance to obtain shared goalsReporting/Accounting Internal and to Corporate· Monitor, analyze and educate on value drivers of the business (Key Metrics/KPIs)· Review applications of revenue recognition accounting (ASC606) for non-standard transactions by collaborating with global functions· Review and ensure monthly reporting of business performance is accurate· Contribute to on-time monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts through analysis and insights, ensuring that all variances are challenged and understood· Support costing decisions/calculate prices for new lis
