With evermore Monks and workstations, our global IT department could use some extra IT support at our Dutch offices. Led by our CTO, our HQ team comprises IT support admins and network engineers who closely collaborate towards a unified way of working. Each MediaMonks production hub has a dedicated IT team, while our smaller offices are supported by our HQ team.
Key responsibilities:
- As a Monk in our Hilversum Monastery , You’ll manage all networking activities (Internet, LAN, dynamic routing, VPNs, Firewalls, Wi-Fi etc.) for all MediaMonks sites around the globe
- You’ll be in charge of the administration of network assets
- You’ll handle the preparation and deployment of network changes
- You’ll automate the operational and maintenance work as much as possible
- You’ll monitor, analyse, and report metrics of network services
Requirements
- Relevant certifications on network and firewall technology and solutions with a high preference for Fortinet NSE 4, 5, 7 etc.
- Deep knowledge on DNS, DHCP, Routing and Routed Protocols (OSPF, BGP)
- Epic network troubleshooting skills
- Excellent documentation skills
- Experience with network monitoring tools (Zabbix preferable)
- You’re Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Extra point if you’re fluent in Dutch, bot spoken and written (but not essential)
- Ability to learn quickly and share knowledge

Pluses:
- Intermediate Linux experience. Know why things work on a Linux system -- not just how to configure them
- Knowledge on Windows operating systems including Active Directory, Certificate Authority, NPS etc.
- Knowledge of Azure AD and Microsoft Intune
- Experience with vSphere Hypervisor ESXi
- Write scripts in some administrative language (Python preferable)
