Overview:
As the Head of Rider Operations for the Netherlands, you will take care of the day to day rider operations for your region, managing the rider shift planning and ensuring deliveries are made on time and efficiently. While keeping track of the entire Rider operations for the Netherlands, you also keep a foot on the ground and help where you are needed.


Your responsibilities:

  • Leadership skills. As the Head of Rider Ops, you will be responsible for ensuring excellent communication and coordination within the rider team. The Supply, Engagement, and Planning and Performance Teams need to work as "one team" and this can be only achieved if a clear structure and communication strategy is defined.
  • Analytical skills. As the Head of Rider Ops, you will need to take data-driven decisions and instruct the different teams on what needs to be done (performance analysis, dashboard creation with the right KPI's, improvement of KPI such as Cost Per Order, Utilisation Rate, etc.)
  • Plan, direct, and manage all rider operations including, onboarding, shift management, route planning and delivery efficiency.
  • Ensure that we have enough riders at all times (this includes making sure that we have enough riders as we expand/launch new locations)
  • Manage different teams within the rider team that will recruit, train, assist, and schedule the rider crew
  • Ensuring high driver quality through training and performance management is fundamental to maintaining our delivery timelines to customers.
  • Create and implement plans to improve the rider performance.
  • Ensure riders are supported and fell like valued Gorillas employees.

Requirements

Your profile:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing retail, warehouse or facilities operations within a fast-paced environment.
  • People management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large onboarding programs.
  • Adept at analytical work and the ability to motivate others in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems under pressure.
  • Effective communicator and are proficient in both written and spoken Dutch and English.
