At Gorillas, a Shift Coordinator works vigorously to ensure organization of staffing schedules and the fulfilment of staffing requests. Additionally, a Shift Coordinator may work with the onboarding team, and assist human resources in various tasks. We expect you to have great communication and organizational skills, as well as outstanding attention to detail.
Your responsibilities:
- You will plan the shifts for our riders
- You will make sure that warehouses are always enough staffed and thus make our 10'' delivery promise achievable
- You will make sure that shifts are fairly allocated (weekend work, respect workers' preferences) in order to maximize rider satisfaction
- You will solve our riders' requests and will ensure that every rider knows her/his schedule
- You will make sure every rider receives the working hours stipulated on her/his contract
- You will create onboarding material for the riders to make sure they know how to use our tools
- You will communicate any hiring needs with the planning team
- You will work with the planning team to optimize shifts' efficiency and thus be a key part in operations' profitability
- You will be responsible for the shift planning platform for all riders (create rider profiles, manage locations, clean data)
Requirements
Your profile:
- Experience in a professional role in a fast-paced environment (consulting, startup etc.)
- You are knowledgeable about the typical issues riders might be facing and you are always willing to offer a helping hand
- You are willing to make Gorillas your mission and are ready to put a lot of hard work into making this business a success
- You are a people person amp; you love exciting people about things
- You have very good communication skills and high proficiency in both written and spoken English
