The team at Imagr is growing and it's an exciting time to join us! Imagr is leading the charge in automated retail technology with our end-to-end, AI powered checkout solution. We're a team of over 60 talented people with offices in both Auckland and Osaka, and we're expanding into Europe where we will be delivering pilots with some of the world's largest retailers. This role will be based in Amsterdam, where you'll interact with some of our newest customers!

How does this role fit in? Your role delivers impact by acting as the technical expert for Imagr’s technologies in the Europe region, supporting the implementation and ongoing success of Imagr’s technology - from pre-pilots, pilots to launch! You'll also be supporting our sales team in a customer facing capacity.

The role, day-to-day:

Pre-pilot, Pilot and Sales

  • Provide ongoing support for all technical aspects of the Imagr product suite in Europe region using engineering best practice. This will include being the first point of contact for the regional Imagr project team, customers and partners in the region, resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Build relationships with Imagr customers and leads to assist with the sales process
  • Contribute to improvement of Imagr’s tech where possible by communicating and collating results from users and customers

Technical Project Implementation:

  • Identify opportunities and areas for improvement with a specific focus on Imagr’s technology; initiate and project manage work streams in delivering Imagr's market launch key milestones.
  • Understand and communicate the unique value provided by Imagr’s technology to prospective and current retailers.
  • Drive the technical discussion and articulate Imagr’s technical capabilities in project and prospect meetings.
  • Actively participate in project meetings, acting as the technical lead for the project implementation ensuring that technical requirements are translated accurately to the retailer and project implementation team ensuring that we’re aligned on expectations, risks and next steps.
  • Communicate the scoped solution to your engineering colleagues ensuring close collaboration with them.
  • Participate in relevant engineering stand ups with HQ’s engineering functions.
  • Network within the industry, including supplier partners, affiliated industry associations, and regional business and community organisations.

Here's what we think you'll need to hit the ground running:

  • Technical competency - be that a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or in some other form - show us what you've got (University degree not necessarily required)!
  • Familiarity with Electrincis and Linux, and with using command prompt
  • Sales support or customer service experience is highly desirable
  • Ability to set up a network, wifi and a small server room
  • Adaptability, resilience, and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
  • Fluent in both written and verbal English, German or Dutch (basic or above is highly desirable)
  • Experience in a customer facing product implementation role, transitioning immature or emerging technologies into consumer products

NB: Frequent travel for this role is required, you may be needed to support our customers in Amsterdam, Germany or the UK
