Job Description

The position offers a unique opportunity to work in a mission-driven organization that is paving the way for a more sustainable real asset sector.

Your main responsibility is to develop and execute the business development strategy and plan for EMEA region, focused on onboarding new Members and building long-term relationships with existing Members (investors, managers, operators, consultants and industry associations) in the real asset sector. As the lead point of contact for key Member account management matters in the region, you’ll also identify new business opportunities among existing Members.

In this role, you will liaise with functional internal teams, including Member Relations, Marketing amp; Communications, Tech, ESG and Product Development teams, to improve the entire Member experience.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute business development plans for EMEA
  • Increase Member base by identifying and managing a pipeline of prospects
  • Follow up on incoming opportunities in EMEA
  • Liaise between key Members and functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our products and services according to customer needs
  • Work on Product Teams to provide sales input on market needs and pricing to ensure product success
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of market trends, business products and value proposition
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Partner with members and potential members to understand their business needs and objectives, feeding these into the product development process
  • Work closely with colleagues on cross-territory opportunities and other internal teams on marketing materials and cause studies
  • Represent GRESB at external international events, conferences, working groups, etc.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years’ experience in account management, investment/asset management or consulting in the financial/real asset sector
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field such as investing, real estate, infrastructure, business, economics or sustainable finance
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results- and mission-driven environment
  • Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability and maturity
  • Solid experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), MS Office (particularly MS Excel) and helpdesk (Freshdesk)
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple opportunity pursuits at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, commercial and interpersonal skills
  • Strong industry networks and the ability to develop these further
  • Fluency - both verbal and written - in English. German and or French would be a plus.
