Jellyfish is a global enterprise with offices around the world, and we are currently looking to fill a senior position in Paris - within our SEO amp; Earned Media team.

We’re looking for a data-driven big-thinker with the ability to turn complex client briefs into successful, performance focussed SEO and Content campaigns. This role is for a capable influencer and visionary who has big-brand and big-agency experience.

The SEO Director holds a prominent position within Jellyfish and is a vastly experienced professional with a high standard of commercial acumen, strategic excellence, tactical knowhow and proven communication skills.

You will have responsibility for a portfolio of prestigious clients and manage teams of SEO specialists, while effectively delivering advanced SEO strategies that meet/exceed client expectations and KPIs. It will be your responsibility to constantly re-evaluate and reimagine the organic search solutions provided to your clients - remaining competitive and aligned with the needs of an ever-changing digital landscape.

You will be at the heart of the Jellyfish new business effort within France and Europe, and will be highly capable in scaling-up conversations to C-suite client stakeholders while still maintaining enough hands-on tactical knowledge to contribute to the management, direction, and mentorship of day-to-day SEO and Content practitioners.

• Work closely alongside Jellyfish’s C-Suite and VP-level Earned Media, SEO and Content leaders to demonstrate growth in regional clients, prospecting and winning new business
• Provide strategic direction and implementation of Jellyfish’s SEO solutions, with a key focus on technical, content, offsite and mobile tactics
• Set and manage KPIs and understand the impact this has on client organisations, and on Jellyfish.
• Quality assurance on the projects that you are accountable for.
• Oversee accurate resource planning, scheduling and time tracking for your respective team.
• Work closely with other earned, owned and paid media departments (Analytics, Social, Display, PPC, Brand Planning, Strategy, etc.) to continually deliver successful integrated digital campaigns
• Work closely with counterparts in other regions to ensure consistency of our global solution, to share successes, and to resolve challenges
• Support in building, managing and mentoring teams
• Support and contribute to the ongoing evolution and development of the Jellyfish SEO product/solution

Requirements

• Demonstrate past experience in growth of client portfolio
• Ability to develop commercial solutions
• Experience managing direct reports effectively
• Experience in taking ownership of people-related issues in accordance with company procedure
• A deep understanding of the wider digital advertising sector and specifically how Earned and Organic activity can be successfully integrated with Paid Media activities
• Confidence and experience in leading communication with client stakeholders of the highest seniority
• A proven public speaker and subject matter expert
• A mix of large agency experience and client-side experience would be beneficial
• Experience in delivering success for large national, international, and global brands
  

• An expert in SEO, with a track record for success
• Demonstrates strong, proficient leadership qualities
• Can effectively delegate to others and provide appropriate support where needed
• Good conflict resolution skills, to act as an escalation point for both internal and external stakeholders
• Is a confident and articulate presenter and storyteller
• Able to work under pressure and prioritise effectively
• Proven ability to proficiently chair meetings
