Driving the core product assortment, the commercial team lay at the heart of the service. Understanding what the customer wants and needs, analysing the market, negotiating contracts and growing the business; here you will find category managers, marketplace managers, buyers and more.
This department can be very fast-paced and requires everyone to be driven and self-motivated.

We are currently expanding the Buying team with Buyers who will each focus on a part of Gorillas' assortment in their own field of expertise. You will be focusing on buying for either fresh products, ambient products, seasonal assortments or products via local partnerships.

Your responsibilities:

• Build strong relationships with suppliers and execute negotiations to ensure the best assortment and commercial conditions
• Analyse key metrics and identify assortment gaps to derive strategies on how to improve supplier and category performance
• Signalling and picking up on the latest trends in retail and the e-commerce
• Know the Gorillas customers and understand their behaviour
• Ensure we have the capacity to keep up with our rapid expansion plans in the Netherlands

Requirements

• At least 2-3 years of experience in the FMCG industry
• Having worked in Category Management, Buying or Trade Marketing in the same industry
• Plus points for having worked with GfK, Nielsen and/or iRi data
• More plus points for experience with fresh food, ambient food, seasonal products in NL/BE or local suppliers
• Dutch and English skills
• Proven negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Analytically strong and result-oriented
