Description:
We are looking for a Product Manager - Monetization in chess24. The ideal candidate will have led (or was closely supporting the lead in) monetization efforts of a mass market (ideally entertainment) online or mobile product in the last few years, results driven, data oriented with experience in post-mortems of features and a good understanding of product management. They should be able to work autonomously but communicate effectively to management and peers.
Reporting into chess24’s Head of Product but working very closely across different studios.
Your mission:
- Product manage the chess24 monetization function including subscription revenue (paying users) and ad revenue (for non-paying users)
- Understanding chess24 spender problems via working with UIUX Designer to conduct user research and testing usability
- Owning the roadmap of monetization and prioritization of features; and how it links to the overall product vision
- Writing specs for features including identifying the right success metrics and what constitutes success
- Post mortem launched features and working with data team to optimize feature set
- Key learnings from the current business to be documented and implemented in any new service within the Group
- Constant evaluation of the competitive landscape include monetization best practices
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of product management experience with specific experience in monetization from direct to consumer online services / products, example: subscription based entertainment products (SAAS) or online / mobile games services (GAAS)
- Familiar working in an agile or similar production environment
- Some product owner responsibilities
- Strong written, oral and presentation skills.
- Willingness to take ownership and responsibility in a fast moving, scale up environment
- Good understanding of analytics and able to draw conclusions from data on success of features
- Understand the various business models including ad driven revenue, subscriptions, in-app purchases and freemium
- Point person for monetization across different functions within the company eg tech, design, business, etc
- Able to travel within Europe regularly
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English.
