KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Track, analyse and report on plant metrics to drive the plant towards quantifiable cost, productivity and quality improvements.
- Develop operating procedures through on-the-floor interaction with employees and process investigations to ensure quality and accuracy in each step of the production process.
- Investigate, develop and implement 5S and Lean manufacturing methodologies on the shop floor.
- Scope, Source and Assist in the installation of new equipment and process improvements.
- Develop business cases for the approval of capital expenditure to optimize the plant efficiency.
- Assist with on the floor troubleshooting of equipment and system problems.
This is a perfect role for somebody who will enjoy being immersed in operations. You will work closely with other team members and production associates in order to drive productivity on the shop floor.
In this, you will have the opportunity to diagnose problems, identify solutions, propose improvements and execute action plans. The role will focus largely on operations and facility infrastructure.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Industrial engineering degree, or equivalent work related experience
- 3 years of experience within a manufacturing environment with the focus on process improvements
- a Proven mechanical aptitude to scope and source required equipment and system solutions for production
- Project management experience
- Self-starter with the abillity to identify problems and develop solutions
- Driven to achieve the highest quality in daily work;
- Strong problem solving amp; multitasking skills with great attention to detail. Team player and good communication skills with a passion to always learn more and share your knowledge with others.
