About the Position

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who will work with us on creating the best possible user experience for our customers as well as our internal teams. As an early joiner you will be able to work with growing engineer teams. Together with them you will be able to shape how our digital products are delivered to our scaling international customer-base. Building on your expertise you will make sure that our systems are stable and represent state of the art technology to support the growing needs of our customers and team.


Your responsibilities
  • You will maintain and improve our container based Kubernetes environments
  • You will implement new and improve on our current CI/CD (Travis, Jenkins, etc.) solutions
  • Perform ongoing reviews of our application and infrastructure code on ways to improve on it
  • Develop and improve instrumentation for monitoring the health, availability, security, efficiency, and scalability of our systems
  • Be an enabler! You're in charge of making the work for other team-members easier and enable them to reach their goals

Requirements


What you need to be successful
  • 3+ years of working on large-scale microservices environment
  • Strong ability to balance business needs, a sense of urgency, and the shipping of high quality and pragmatic solutions
  • Be a thoughtful technical voice and support your team in making diligent architectural decisions
  • Solid background in Terraform or similar IaC languages
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and deep understanding of the unix flavor of your choice
  • Experience debugging large scale production systems, tracing and analyzing root causes
  • Experience with software development in Go, Java, Javascript or Python
  • Experience building amp; monitoring CI/CD pipelines across cross-functional teams
  • Experience with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) database management
  • Knowledge of container amp; clustering technology (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
  • Experience with log amp; metric collection using the elastic stack
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English

Amazing to have:

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining large-scale Kafka amp; RabbitMQ clusters
  • Experience with on-call duties and incident management
