About You

As a Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for the delivery of client initiatives being delivered by the Club, ensuring successful outcomes within the agreed budgets and timeframes. As a result, you will need to be able to:

  • Build effective partnerships across client’s technology and business units who we are dependent on for the successful delivery
  • Maintain transparency and provide timely and accurate visibility of status, progress against product backlogs, managing progress impediments
  • Gather, synthesize and provide financial information, progress updates, resources, risks and issues and interdependencies across initiatives for clients
  • Set-up and run Executive governance forums with clients
  • Track and report performance of Feature teams against commitment, building a view of performance over a period of time to identify areas for improvement
  • Build a view of capacity and performance of Feature teams (gathering empirical data) and maintaining rolling forward view of expected delivery of user stories
  • Identify additional capacity needs and re-balance workload across teams.
  • Track, report and maintain spend report by product area based on team resources committed to each product area

To do that, it’s essential you bring the following:

  • 5-7 years of programme / project experience
  • Agile and Lean methodologies - lead and coach delivery teams; act as an expert who advocates good practices, reflecting continuously and challenging teams to create and tailor new ways of working
  • Planning skills: lead ongoing planning processes in complex environments; identify dependencies in coordinate delivery; forecast, estimate and manage uncertainty; plan beyond product delivery;
  • Delivery: ensure the process works by optimising the delivery flow of teams; proactively identify and address risks, issues and dependencies and find innovative ways to unblock issues; challenge organisational processes and coach clients to inspect and adapt their processes; guide teams through the implementation of new processes
  • Communication skills and stakeholder management: mediate people and med relationships, communicating with stakeholders at all levels. Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate conversations about complexity and associated risk in projects, people and timescales.
  • Team management: work with our clients to identify challenges in the team dynamic and address them; pull out issues through agile health-checks with the team; engage and promote a learning and feedback culture
  • Commercial and Financial management: negotiate, influence and take responsibility for budget management within constraints; monitor budgets against expenditure; write or input into business cases and communicate value propositions
  • Organisational and consulting skills:lead on delivery strategy for our clients; identify and change organisational delivery models to support business goals

Its helpful if you have:

  • Strong communication skills with management team and technical team members
  • Fluent in business-level Dutch (speaking and writing)
  • Able to continuously improve and shape governance approach to suit the client delivery Good knowledge of agile methodology and practices (Scrum, Kanban)
  • A good grounding in traditional Project Management governance practices
  • Ability to manage teams particularly in complex and challenging environments, e.g. multiple suppliers, multiple locations, changing priorities
  • Ability to articulate and summarise findings clearly and succinctly to senior managers
