Sympower is an international cleantech scale-up with offices in 5 different countries. We believe that climate change is the biggest challenge of our generation and, with our software solution, we accelerate the transition to a clean and sustainable energy system. Sympower is growing fast and has recently been recognised as one of the eleven scale-ups selected for the Techleap Rise programme, featuring tech scale-ups that are contributing to flatten the climate curve.

We are looking for an all-around People Ops Expert to join our growing People team!

What you’ll do:

You will be our People ops amp; employee experience champion carrying and optimizing the full knowledge of our processes and policies and act as the first point of support for our global teams for any HR-related questions.

This is a great opportunity for you if you are a highly organised, structured HR generalist with a love for challenges and building new processes. You will be part of an enthusiastic, fast-growing People team with a lot of ambition to support the business in scaling on a strategic and operational level.

Your responsibilities will cover 4 major areas:

1. Employee journey support amp; internal comms: be the first point of contact for employee queries and ensure they are answered in a timely manner, offer guidance and advice on matters such as maternity/ sickness leave, contract amp; payment questions, benefits, trainings, etc.

2. Compensation amp; benefits administration: help set up HR systems as we continue to grow the company, manage benefits in all our different locations, ensure HR policies in all countries are always updated according to local labour laws

3. Process structure amp; general admin (ad hoc): help develop and document new and existing policies, HR metrics, employee safety amp; welfare systems

4. Recruitment amp; onboarding: support our team leads with the recruitment of new candidates by planning interviews and communicating with candidates, checking references, preparing contracts and onboarding in HR systems

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role (HR generalist/ People Operations/ HR admin)
  • Amazing interpersonal/ communication skills in English (other EU languages are a plus)
  • Skilled at building amp; optimising HR processes from scratch
  • Great at building relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Experience in a fast-growing start-up (very useful to have)
  • Knowledge of Dutch labour law (any other EU country will be highly appreciated)
  • Structured approach to work amp; able to organise process flows
  • Approachable, eager to help others
  • Able to work independently amp; to take ownership of tasks
  • Motivated by challenges such as fast scaling in multiple markets
  • Aligned with our company mission
  • Able to start 5th July 2021 (big plus!)
