Job Description

As the Quality Control Engineer it is your responsibility to monitor and gauge the product quality and the production processes on the basis of the current quality management system. You are a part of the Quality team, and work closely with the Supplier Quality Assurance engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, Customer Quality Support Manager, Regional Quality Support, and the Customer Quality Support Engineers. The Quality Control Engineer reports directly to the Global QESH Director.

Job Objectives

  • As the Quality Control Engineer you are responsible for independently gauging and monitoring the product quality and the production processes in accordance with the quality plans, work instructions and inspection regulations.
  • You are responsible for the management of product-oriented quality plans, work instructions and inspection regulations.
  • You process rejected/deviant material.
  • You conduct internal and external audits.
  • You coordinate the calibration of measuring equipment.
  • You check and maintain electric hand tools.
  • You supervise improvement operations for the production.
  • You coach and encourage production workers with respect to quality awareness and quality discipline.
  • You handle complaints concerning product quality and process quality.
  • You are responsible for reporting on the enforcement/implementation of the quality management system.
  • You validate the quality reports in agreement with the Global QESH Director.
  • You coordinate the work with colleagues from the Testfield and Assembly departments.
  • You proactively discuss the options for optimisation with relevant colleagues in response to audits and quality measurements.
  • You discuss the progress and quality of the work with the QESH Director.

Requirements

  • Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering from Senior Secondary Vocational Education (MBO)
  • NEN-3140 inspector (VOP)
  • Able to read 3D drawings
  • Experience with 3D measuring techniques
  • You have a great affinity for electrical engineering.
  • You have experience with quality care and quality auditing in a manufacturing environment.
  • You can work with MS Office.
  • You are fluent in English.
