In September 2020 we acquired a Swedish-based company called Buzzador. Buzzador was founded in 2005. It is a company that works to create buzz about products on social media and get consumers to write honest reviews about products on selected websites.

As a Logistics project manager your role is to take in independent projects to make the logistic solutions of Stars and Stories better performing and scalable and future proof. It is expected that Stars and Stories will have a strong growth in the upcoming years. This growth will be in the number of packages (including postal packages) as also the number of countries it offers its services.

We expect the Logistic project manager to take an active role in this growth process and works therefore on continuous improvements, process implementations, and optimization. There might be introduced new software that needs to be implemented and trained for, as well as improvements on the currently used (proprietary) software.

As Logistic project manager, you will be part of a team and lead projects independently to define. You will be challenged to introduce and bring in best practices and ensure cost efficiency; - optimize logistic processes and maximize scalability.

The focus in this position entails:

• Take a leading role with several simultaneous projects in the logistic area;
• Take on several tasks at hand in the logistic process and daily operations (hands-on mentality);
• Implement and roll out initiatives identified in the road map in the area of logistics. These initiatives are set out by you, the team, or the management;
• Take an active role with (re)tendering and identifying opportunities for partnerships with (existing and/or new) carriers;
• Taking part or leading Responsible cross-regional/cross-functional project teams to implement initiatives on the operational level as well strategic level;
• Taking part, and taking the initiatives for continuous and sustainable process performance improvements (efficiency, effectiveness) for warehousing and 3PL warehouse providers;
• Actively participating in defining and develop global performance standards and indicators for warehousing and 3PL warehouse providers;
• Active participate and leading initiatives around global performance monitoring capability for warehousing and 3PL warehouse providers;
• Participate and take a leading role in transportation and warehousing related (global) projects with interfaces between regions and other functions (including IT integrations).

Requirements

• MSc. degree in supply chain or logistic management
• 5 years experience in relevant logistics, including some experiences as a project manager in the field of Logistics, preferably for global organizations and/or setting

• Some experience with implementing new solutions e.g. software and processes

• Experience with several IT systems (Logistic modules) including integration of several components into one environment

• Experience with working in international teams, cross the border, and at a distance. Preferably also as a lead.

• Strong international (proven) orientation and experience, working in cross-functional international teams

• Experience with working in an Agile/Scrum way;
• Strong communication skills;
• Fluent in English both verbal and written.
