The Technology and Operations (TechOps) department has a vacancy at its Delft site, for the following position:
Production technologist wastewater treatment
The Position
The production technologist WWTP is dedicated to all water related matters on the site Delft including the WWTP. The technologist works closely with the operational team consisting of the operators, technologists of other units, operations experts, production planners, management team and other stake holders.
The main activities and responsibilities
- Ensuring cost effective, stable operation of the wastewater treatment plant within the active permits and regulations.
- Coaching of operators and assistant technologists.
- Executing safety studies like HAZOP, PHR, etc.
- Continuous improvement processes.
- Supporting budget processes concerning fixed and variable cost.
- Reporting of multiple environmental reports.
- Managing external stakeholders like other site users, governments and suppliers.
- Participate in global Centrient competence networks regarding WWTP and water topics.
- Building and sustaining an external network for technology development and troubleshooting.
The Ideal Candidate
- You have a Bachelor or an Academic level in environmental, biotechnology or water technology.
- You are certified with a degree like Hogere Techniek AfvalwaterZuivering (HTAZ) or comparable.
- You have 5 years of production experience with wastewater treatment.
- You have knowledge of HAZOP studies.
- You are comfortable with managing small projects.
- You have experience with odour abatement.
- You have experience with start-up of new process-installations.
- You speak and write fluent English and Dutch.
- Preferably you are comfortable with speaking and writing in German.
