Job description

As IT Director you are responsible for the entire IT landscape and you work at the interface between IT and Business. You serve as a strategic leader as well as in a supporting role. Your responsibilities are broad you determine IT plans, set and monitor departmental goals, establish team workflows, choose technology to invest in and facilitate collaboration across the organization. In short, the work you do keeps the IT team and larger organization moving forward.

The organisation

CLEVR is the largest international Mendix partner and is orginated from Mansystems, FlowFabric and Blockbrains. Mansystems was founded in 1996, FlowFabric in 2010, and BlockBrains in 2018. In 2020 the three companies were backed by VOLPI Capital and merged. Together they became CLEVR.

Your Tasks

• Manage the IT function across the international organization, including IT operations, application management, IT security, and IT projects;
• Set an IT strategy and manage the execution thereof;
• Contribute from an IT perspective in the transition of the business model of the company towards a cloud-based solutions provider;
• Own and optimize the IT stack of the company;
• Maintain and optimize the IT infrastructure, from network to phones, video-conferencing, etc.
• Manage the IT budget, and optimize spend;
• Manage the relationships and SLA's with external suppliers;
• Contribute in setting up and optimizing business intelligence;
• Pro-actively engage to optimize internal processes through ongoing automation, assessment of IT systems, and implementation of alternative applications or improvement of existing ones;
• Document and maintain documentation of IT processes and procedures;
• Manage the IT help-desk (either internal or outsourced);
• Build-out the internal capabilities for application management, (currently) including MS, Confluence, Hubspot, AFAS, own-build applications, etc.
• Contribute to ISO procedures from IT point-of-view;
• Participate in projects, including acquisitions and integrations, from an IT perspective.

Department

As IT Director you will closely work with managers of different departments. The role is located in Amersfoort. You report to the CFO.

Requirements

CLEVR is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced IT Director.

Your Profile:

• Minimum HBO diploma, preferably in the direction of Computer Science, information science or Business Administration;
• Broad experience reflective of the responsibilities.
• At least 10 years of working experience, of which a minimum of 5 years in similar role(s);
• Experience at international scale-up technology companies, that have transitioned to a cloud-based services model;
• Strong business acumen and able to negotiate with external parties;
• Able to challenge the business on requested IT spend, in a positive and constructive way;
• Capable of managing small and large IT projects, in close collaboration with the relevant business functions;
• Experienced in documenting processes / procedures, also for ISO certification purposes;
• Able to maintain budgets;
• Capable of preparing and presenting business cases, project updates, etc.;
• Autonomous hands-on self-starter, as initially there will be no IT team, able to build-out and manage a small team (3-5 FTE).
