Sympower's mission is to enable the transition to a fully renewable energy system.
With our in-house software platform, we unlock the flexibility of electrical assets and processes: from steel smelting to solar panels, electric vehicles to paper production. When the grid is out of balance, we temporarily adjust the power of machines and processes through our advanced and automated demand response capabilities. Flexibility is a vital component of a fully renewable energy system and by providing non-intrusive software solutions, we allow our customers to enhance the value of their electrical assets. We empower traditional industries to become more sustainable and enable the shift from fossil fuels to renewables.

To accelerate our growth we need to continuously raise funding and will start looking at non-organic ways of growth. To support, prepare and execute these strategic finance processes we are looking for a Financial Planning Analyst to join our growing finance team.
What you’ll do:
- Work directly with CEO and CFO on preparation and execution of upcoming funding round, including:
- Preparing and managing due diligence process (keep data room complete and up to date, manage Qamp;A, maintain contacts with investors and external advisors)
- Performing strategic market and industry analyses
- Preparing pitch decks, financial forecast models
- Approaching interested parties
- Drafting transaction documentation, support negotiations
- Undertaking complex financial analysis and modelling. Able to capture and accurately model different operational models
- Research and monitor developments / trends in the clean energy sector and identify potential business opportunities
- Proactively assisting business development efforts including drafting pitch materials, providing market insights and performing comparable companies/transactions analyses
- Preparation and execution of Mamp;A projects
- Ad-hoc analysis for management
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Economics or other relevant field
- 3-5 year track record in Corporate Finance (banking or industry) or investment banking
- Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills with ability to run a complex financial model independently
- Eager to learn, hands-on and proactive mentality
- Firm base knowledge of accounting, finance, and business strategy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Beneficial skills:
- VC fundraising experience, creating pitch decks
- Experience in the energy sector
- Knowledge of other EU languages
