Sympower's mission is to enable the transition to a fully renewable energy system.
With our in-house software platform, we unlock the flexibility of electrical assets and processes: from steel smelting to solar panels, electric vehicles to paper production. When the grid is out of balance, we temporarily adjust the power of machines and processes through our advanced and automated demand response capabilities. Flexibility is a vital component of a fully renewable energy system and by providing non-intrusive software solutions, we allow our customers to enhance the value of their electrical assets. We empower traditional industries to become more sustainable and enable the shift from fossil fuels to renewables.
We are a mission-driven, international team that is based in multiple countries. About The Job
- You will be based in the Netherlands as part of our international commercial team
- You are passionate about the opportunity to shape the future of how we use and build technology
- You will be working with existing partners (e.g. energy consultants), discovering local opportunities, engaging with stakeholders and acting as the commercial representative of Sympower in the Netherlands
- You will successfully develop partnerships and customer relations in the energy domain.
- You will be responsible for the full sales cycle: from the first contact with the counterparties until the handover to implementation
What you’ll do:
- Business development: jointly with our engineers and analysts, you will set up technical and financial cases for our customers
- Present Sympower successfully to leads, partners and other stakeholders
- Work closely with partners and build strong relationships
- Prepare a smooth hand-over to implementation engineers
- Be proactive in new advancements in our industry and advise Sympower on new product development
Requirements
- Educational background in energy, engineering and/or business
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in the energy domain
- Fluent Dutch, verbal and written (at least B2!)
- Fluent English, verbal and written
- Strong people skills amp; ability to build long-term partnerships
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid EU residence permit
- Comfortable in an international, fast-paced, scale-up environment
- Eager to take initiative and ownership
Beneficial skills
- Knowledge of flexibility solutions in the electricity and/or heat/steam domain
- Excellent analytical skills
- Experience in consultative selling
- Alignment with our mission of contributing to the energy transition
- Available for a minimum of 32 hours per week
