Job Description

Sympower's mission is to enable the transition to a fully renewable energy system.

With our in-house software platform, we unlock the flexibility of electrical assets and processes: from steel smelting to solar panels, electric vehicles to paper production. When the grid is out of balance, we temporarily adjust the power of machines and processes through our advanced and automated demand response capabilities. Flexibility is a vital component of a fully renewable energy system and by providing non-intrusive software solutions, we allow our customers to enhance the value of their electrical assets. We empower traditional industries to become more sustainable and enable the shift from fossil fuels to renewables.

We are a mission-driven, international team that is based in multiple countries. We are growing fast and have recently been recognised as one of the eleven scale-ups selected for the Techleap Rise programme, featuring tech scale-ups that are contributing to flatten the climate curve. We are looking for an experienced Management Assistant and Office Manager to join us. You will act as the right-hand of our founder amp; CEO, our CFO and the rest of our Management Team, as well as being responsible for our Amsterdam office space.


What you’ll do:

  • Agenda management for the Management Team
  • Arrange meetings and calls with external parties (shareholders, press, events, interviews etc)
  • Take minutes during Management Team meetings, organize information and follow-up with action owners
  • Rearrange schedules to accommodate last-minute changes and emergency cancellations
  • Arrange and facilitate in-person meetings, ensuring all parties can attend and that rooms are available
  • Format information for internal and external communication on behalf of the Management Team memos, emails, presentations, reports
  • Plan and facilitate company-wide events and plan company gifts
  • Make travel and accommodation arrangements when needed
  • Office management (supplies, office spaces, events, decoration, reception) and possibly help relocate us to a different office space in the near future
  • Be responsible for implementing health amp; safety measures in the office

Requirements

  • Educational background in business administration or relevant field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experienced in office management
  • Available full time (40 hrs/ week)
  • Able to work from our Amsterdam office at least 4 days/ week
  • Exceptional English skills (written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of other EU languages will be a plus
  • Proficient user of MS Office and Google Suite
  • Exceptional organizational abilities
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solving, positive attitude
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced scale-up environment
  • A valid EU residence permit - (no visa sponsorship available)
