Maintenance amp; Engineering Manager
The Position
In this role you define and execute a maintenance amp; projects strategy that guarantees the integrity of the production installations, infrastructure and buildings. You manage the maintenance and small projects budget, maintain the SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) license to operate, you work on technical improvements, meet the agreed availability and minimize the operational expenses. This in a safe manner for both maintenance and operations personnel.
You will be the leader of the maintenance amp; engineering department, including the central warehouse, and you manage the partnership with the external technical contractor(s) by defining the organization structure, work processes, content of the jobs and coaching the employees.
The Maintenance amp; Engineering Manager reports to the Site Director and is part of the management team of Centrient Delft.
The main activities and responsibilities
In the role of Maintenance amp; Engineering Manager you among others:
- Define and execute the annual operating plans for maintenance, small projects and facility services and manage these conform plan and agreed budget;
- Create a safe working environment for technical activities and ensure compliance with Centrient values, Requirements, cGMP policies and procedures.
- Manage the partnership with the external technical contractor(s)
- Ensure plant, technical and organizational improvement potential is analyzed, identified and implemented in an effective way.
- Optimize, as a delegate of the Manufacturing Owner (the site director) the working capital versus security of supply of technical spare parts.
- Execute, in agreement with the project owner, an integrated project plan, aimed at creating agreed business benefits.
- Select, manage, coach and develop the maintenance amp; engineering staff, create an environment of continuous improvements and create a safe and focused culture.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal Candidate has knowledge and/or experience in de following areas:
- Reliability principles;
- Maintenance organisation, processes and supporting systems;
- Maintenance and material management;
- Computerised Maintenance Management System (SAP-PM);
- Manufacturing Excellence;
- Statistical analysing methods (Six Sigma at the level of Green Belt);
- Contractor Management;
- Project Management/ Project work;
- cGMP.
You have a master degree in a technical discipline (preferable Mechanical or E/I Engineering) and at least 5 years of experience in maintenance and project management, in leading a maintenance department, preferably in the (bio-)chemical or food industry. You also have experience in Manufacturing excellence, budgeting and financial reporting;
You are a People manager, with a leadership style in which the team delivers an optimal performance.
