Pearl Abyss - the company behind the highly acclaimed MMORPG Black Desert Online (BDO) - is looking for enthusiastic Localization Specialists with an international mindset for its European publishing office, located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
As a Localization Specialist you will proofread, translate and prepare web content, templates, press releases and more for the [Spanish/French/German] language region. This function requires you to have (near) native level fluency in one or more of the following languages: Spanish, French, and/or German.
Responsibilities
- Localization of announcements, patch notes, web content, marketing assets, templates, press releases and game wiki.
- Testing game translation quality, consistency and language correctness according to given specifications.
- Proofreading and revising translated content in the language of expertise.
- Provide assistance and support to the live service.
- Other work includes local market research, monitoring in-game and community trends etc.
Requirements
Native/bilingual in Spanish/French/German.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 1 year of gaming translation experience or similar role.
- Passion for video games.
- Knowledge about Pearl Abyss' products (Especially Black Desert).
- Experience of the fantasy lore and its common glossary.
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
- Attention to detail and positive personality.
- Proficiency in Korean is a big plus (Optional).
- Able to work in a geographically dispersed team, Self-starter, able to work independently.
