What you’ll be doing:

Reporting into the C-Suite of Zencargo, the General Manager of Netherlands is a key role for Zencargo's success over the foreseeable future.

You'll have the opportunity to lead and grow Zencargo's business in the Netherlands from the ground up with the ambition to quickly become one of the leading supply chain businesses in the region. You will not only ensure operational excellence, but will also have your finger on the local market pulse; identifying new opportunities for growth, as well as building and maintaining critical customer relationships

The Netherlands is a new market for us, and we plan to scale it to 20 people by the end of 2021, scaling headcount further in 2022.

You will:

  • Have full Pamp;L ownership for the Netherlands market, including regional sales, margin and expansion targets
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, working with other regional VPs for international escalations amp; workflows
  • Build a high growth sales, customer success, procurement and operations team, aimed at growing our client base and expanding existing customers
  • Partner with our CRO, VP Operations and VP Customer Success to develop growth amp; expansion strategies, as well as with our VP Procurement to develop our local network
  • Play a hands on role, including being involved in key deals as well as key customer amp; partner relationships
  • Develop a regional business plan for annual planning cycles, including potential regional expansions into adjacent markets

Requirements

  • A track record of running existing or new markets for a startup or scale up
  • Hands on leader, who is a self starter amp; is comfortable building from 0 to 1
  • A history of attracting high quality talent from diverse backgrounds
  • Process driven, and able to set the teams up for success in a startup environment
  • A highly collaborative individual, who can demonstrate openness and honesty
  • Analytical and strong problem solving skills are a must, with a strong ability to learn quickly
  • Background in sales or account management leadership would be preferred
  • Background in logistics is not required
