The Data Hub group:In the Data Hub group, we’re building an innovative low-code data integration platform called Data Hub. Our product aims to solve a fundamental challenge for businesses: enabling people to take the data across their company and use it effectively. Data Hub takes on the challenge of getting rid of all the friction of trying to find and use data by offering a solution that simplifies this process from start to finish.
Data Hub is the newest member of the Mendix Product family, and because of this, our product group will be operating as a start-up within Mendix. This presents a rather unique opportunity to experience a period of hyper-growth combined with the perks of being part of a larger company. The position:Traditionally, integrating systems over REST and OData has been tedious work. Most users of the platform find it difficult. You will be working in a team that provides abstractions to make integration easy for them, leaving the difficult implementation up to our Scala runtime.
You will write C# code to add new features and improvements to our IDE, Mendix Studio Pro. You will then write Scala code execute the resulting Mendix model. This means implementing the REST and OData protocols, making them available to the low-code platform. Our users use this to connect their apps to whatever systems they like. That means that the platform has to do it all: be fast, resilient, safe, and correct according to the REST and OData standards. Required skills and experience:
- Either fluent skills in C# and an affinity with functional programming or experienced in Scala and an affinity with C#. At least 6+ years experience in C# and/or Scala combined;
- Experienced in today’s engineering best practices such as CI/CD and automation;
- Practical knowledge of automated testing frameworks and technologies;
- Experience with UI development;
- Proven track record in building and delivering software in an agile team environment
- Able to refine epics, high-level objectives and requirements into concrete user stories ready for implementation;
