Automation Test Lead

Job Description
You will act as a technical lead to design, develop and maintain our Automation testing architecture enabling the Quality Engineering team to improve product quality and accelerate release time to market.
What your day-to-day looks like:
- Provide leadership, supervision, coaching, and mentoring to implement test automation across projects and new tools, approaches, and practices to continuously optimizing the testing process;
- Support test automation and quality-oriented processes with dev teams (i.e. improve acceptance criteria's, promote quality assurance best practices);
- Build, improve and maintain a "continuous integration / continuous deployment" paradigm with automated tests with development teams;
- Document processes, quality /automation vision, and best practices;
- Work closely with operations and deployment teams to ensure smooth production deployment;
- Responsible for drawing up test plans, managing and advising the team to guarantee and further improve the quality of the service, reviewing and delivering (timely, complete, correct, and of sufficient quality) the deliverables to customers, reporting progress and KPIs.
What you bring to the table:
- 8+ years of top-notch QA/Automation/programming experiences under your belt;
- Eager to learn and keep up to date with new trends in technology;
- Good development skills and knowledge about Object-oriented programming with languages like Java, JavaScript;
- Excellent knowledge of web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) and web testing library (Selenium is a strong asset);
- Experience with some of our development tools which include Git, Jira, Xray, Confluence, Jenkins, Docker, AWS, and the IDE of your choice;
- Must have hands-on experience in developing automation solutions using any 2 of the mentioned test automation tools: Webdriver io, Cypress io, Selenium-Protractor, Cucumber, or equivalent;
- Experience with cross browsers testing tools such as SauceLabs, or BrowserStack;
- Understanding and interest in Appium/mobile automation;
- Experience of Agile way of working / SCRUM;
- Experience in API testing (SOAP; REST API testing)
- You live in the Netherlands.
"Bonus points" if you have experience with:
- Knowledge amp; experience in performance testing and/or security testing of eCommerce applications.
- Knowledge of Application Monitoring Tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics or NewRelic.
