Requirement Title: NIRIS Angular Developer Software Engineering Support
Work is focused on supporting development of NIRIS capability as Senior Angular Developer, with experience or affinity with full-stack as benefit (using Java for back-end). Under direction of Project Manager or assigned task leader, candidate is required to conduct following activities:
• Support management of backlog of fixes and new requirements
• Develop detailed User Stories to support implementation of backlog items
• Develop automated tests to supplement existing test plans
• Conduct manual testing of implemented product backlog items
• Develop and supplement existing user documentation
• Support service support team in testing systems as well as reviewing end-user documentation or answering user requests.
The list of activities will not be limited to the above-mentioned tasks and may expand as requirements emerge and qualification of the candidate allows.
Requirements
- Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in Computer Science, with specific studies in programming and preferably Java-based based development
- 5+ years' experience in software development using Angular, at least Angular 2 (code base is currently Angular 9)
- Working experience with Linux, UNIX (preferably Oracle Solaris), and Microsoft Windows platforms. Main development and deployment environment is Linux
- Working experience with Agile Development methods
- Working knowledge of IP networking
- Experience with: a) Software version control systems, in particular Git; b) Baseline and configuration control; c) Maven as build management software; d) Yarn for package management; e) Jenkins for continuous integration; f) Setting up and leveraging virtual test environments, in particular g) Azure; h) Setting up automated tests, including unit testing using mocking frameworks such as Jest; i) Using test management tools, such as TestRail, TM4J
- Work flexibly in software development team
- Writing technical documentation (requirements, design, architecture, user and system administrator manual, training material) as related to software development project
- Proven practical experience in software testing, including planning and reporting
- Written and verbal fluency in English, as work is conducted in English
- Candidates must have nationality of one of NATO nations
- Following qualifications are desirable:
- 1. Experience or at least affinity with full-stack development, using Java for back-end
- 2. Previous experience in development and/or maintenance of NATO Java applications
- 3. Previous experience in working for NCI Agency
