Global Project Manager
HITEC Power Protection, Netherlands

As the Global Project Manager you are tasked with managing your assigned projects to the agreed budget, quality and schedule. All the while you manage the customer’s expectations and the relationship. You will frequently travel (international) as can be required per project. You will lead international project teams and you are responsible for the successful completion of multidisciplinary (turn-key) projects. In this position you will report to the Global Projects Director.

Main Objectives

• You are responsible for starting and finishing the projects assigned to you on time and within the budget; the projects must meet the set quality standards and requirements;
• Project schedule, budget and costs will be proactively monitored by you;
• You initiate and chair project kick off and progress meetings;
• You periodically report out on project results internally as well as externally to the customer;
• Maintaining program budget and quality, you identify and drive the resolutions of problems during the project lifecycle you are focussed on results;
• You identify the options for additional work for the customers and convert them into new and/or additional orders;
• You review and expedite progress and deal with budget, quality and technical issues within the project.
• Initiating corrective measures as and when required;
• Coordination of the technical commercial conditions, execution and progress of projects with customers;
• You proactively communicate with the customers about the HITEC products and services;
• You report the project status, outlook, corrective actions and recommendations periodically to the Global Projects Director.
• Proactively discussing opportunities for improvement; and
• You work closely with the engineering team, supply chain, finance, assembly amp; testing and service;

Requirements

• You have at least Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration from a university of applied science (HBO).
• Qualification in Project Management (PMP, IPMA-C or equivalent).
• A minimum 5 years’ experience in delivering multidisciplinary projects involving high value capital equipment.
• You understand and have affinity with other cultures.
• Fluent in English and preferably a second foreign language.
• You are an experienced user of IT software applications like:
  • Microsoft Office;
  • Microsoft Projects or equivalent scheduling software;
  • ERP systems.
• Flexible and capable of successfully dealing with high stress situations.
