Job Description
For our office in Amsterdam, The Netherlands we are looking for a talented, self motivated, Junior Graphic Designer to join our Team.
You will be a strategic thinker with an eye for detail and a strong sense of style. You will be a team player in a multi-disciplinary agency and will thrive in a fast-paced environment.
The principle responsibilities of this position will include creation of original (environmental) graphic design and branding, as well as the development of presentations, artwork and guideline documents for mainly quick serve, food amp; beverage clients.
You'll be a team player in a multi-disciplinary agency and will thrive in a fast-paced environment and will have a keen interest in current trends and innovations across graphics, hospitality, retail and other fields as well as being more design focussed than art direction.
In order to be eligible for this position you must be already in possession of a work permit for the Netherlands or a EU work permit and full relocation to the Netherlands will be required.
This is a full time employment position (40 hours /week)
You will be reporting to the Senior Lead Graphics
Ideal start date: as soon as possible
Depending on COVID developments, it is possible that the chosen candidate will work remotely from their residence in the Netherlands until all workforce resumes to work from the office again
Responsibilities
- Participating in various design projects from concept to completion
- Producing drafts, artworks for print production and final documents
- Implementing feedback to enhance design projects and improve design
Requirements
- Up to three years experience
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite in particular Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
- Graphic, branding and related degree
- Understanding of basic visual elements (Lay-out, grids, colour systems and typography)
- A strong ‘all-rounder’, confident across:
- Design and illustration
- Execution, creating final print artwork
- Solid portfolio of a wide range of work, with experience in:
- Document and presentations layout: such as guidelines, brand books
- Environmental graphic design is ideal across hospitality /retail / or work space
- Branding
- Creativity skills and problem-solving attitude
- Basic knowledge of Keynote and Powerpoint
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite in particular Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
- Team player
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment within tight deadlines
- Confident in working on international projects
- Being reliable, able to follow through and complete tasks, prepared to go the extra mile
- Excellent command of English language (our company language) written and spoken.
- Demonstrated intercultural awareness and ability to interact with a diverse team within UXUS and within our clients’ network
