Junior Artist

We are looking for a Junior Artist to join our team to help us put together the scene towards the end of production. Your role will mostly be related to the placement of assets to fill out the scene. We are looking for someone familiar with Motor Racing Simulations who has a keen eye for appropriate details on tracks, to ensure things are in the right place at the right time, as well as feedback to the team various issues or inaccuracies with the current production.

Studio 397 is a subsidiary of Motorsport Games and a PC Games Developer of the title "rFactor 2" that focuses on making the most accurate Motorsport Simulation that we can. Our team works remotely, predominantly based in the EU.

• Be responsible for helping put together environments at the end of development with set dressing.
• Make use of existing generators to quickly place Vehicles, Spectators and other generic props.
• Learn from existing documented methods, but also have the opportunity to suggest improvements to development methods.
• Optimize scenes to ensure optimal performance.
• Be constantly testing scenes during the final phases of development and feedback to the rest of the development team issues and inaccuracies.
• Depending on your skillset you may have the opportunity to work on more cinematic aspects of the scene such as Camera configurations and AI setup.

Requirements

• Have a portfolio demonstrating your skills and experience
• Experience of working with Environments in rFactor 2 or other modern motor racing simulations.
• Have a basic understanding of how to use 3ds Max and Photoshop.
• Experience with working with Cameras or AI configuration
• Ability to work well self-directed
• A high level of attention to aesthetic detail.
• A passion for motorsport and a keen interest in motor racing circuits.
