Financial Controller - Interim

Job Description
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and independent Financial Controller - Interim who will join our international team in our head office in Amsterdam.
In this role it’s important that you will enjoy working independently on finance tasks in an dynamic environment and that your accruals are spot on and you take care of invoices timely. You will be reporting directly to the Finance and HR manager.
You are available to work between 24 and 40 hours per week. This a temporarily assignment is for 3-4 months.
What will you do day-to-day
This role is very all-round and involves different tasks and responsibilities.
You will be responsible for:
- the month end closing process, which involves creating and analyzing balance sheet reports as well as creating actuals and KPI reports.
- the client invoicing process, sending out the invoices in close contact with the sales and customer success department, but also to answer client questions and requests and to make sure we collect the money.
- analysis of and reporting on revenues in a number of different reports and spreadsheets.
- All general ledger entries
- Processing bank transactions
- calculation and preparation of tax payments;
Requirements
- Professional credentials (at least a Dutch HBO or equivalent) in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or Finance AND minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role (Controller or Accountant)
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Excellent knowledge of accounting software and MS Office (good understanding of Excel)
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Punctual and accurate
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Good multitasker
- Ability to work independently
- Flexible and copes with change well
