Job Description

We currently have a vacancy for a Liferay developer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in The Hague, The Netherlands. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the ICT development Team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks:

  • Develop new Java modules (Java 8 or higher), including portlets following JSR-286, based on Spring Framework or Liferay DXP OSGI, including JUnit tests (based on JUnit 5);
  • Prepare releases using MAVEN;
  • Hands on experience with GIT following pull request procedure;
  • Deploy EPE package on Linux (RHEL 7);
  • Fixing problems and improving existing modules;
  • Make Groovy scripts for Liferay DXP;
  • Give 3rd line support;
  • Ability to write clean, secure and high quality code;
  • Document modules and installation procedures;
  • Work comfortably within a team. Follow Scrum procedures and disciplines. Estimate the work to be done upon request;
  • Communicate in a clean, concise way, not only to peers but to upper layers when needed.

Requirements

  • University degree in IT or relevant discipline;
  • More than 9 years of experience in ICT (as developer, system administrator, software engineer, infrastructure engineer, DevOps engineer);
  • Professional Experience with Java portlets JSR 286, Liferay portal
  • Experience with Liferay portal EE or DXP, Liferay DXP version 7 or 7.3, Spring Framework is considered an asset;
  • Professional Experience with CI/CD using Maven and GIT;
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and working in a project following SCRUM process is considered an asset;
  • Ability to write documents in good English (level B2);
  • Professional Knowledge in Java 8 or higher, Liferay portal development, Java portlets RFC-289 and Liferay Developer Studio;
  • Professional knowledge of Liferay DXP (OSGI) development, JUnit 5 + Mockito, Spring Framework 5.X is considered an asset;
  • Mandatory professional knowledge in Maven, GIT, Linux;
  • Desirable professional knowledge in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, BASH scripts, Groovy scripts and Elastic Stack version 6.8 or 7.X;
  • Excellent command of the English language.
