Pearl Abyss, the company behind the highly acclaimed MMORPG Black Desert Online (BDO) - is seeking a high-performing, innovative, results-oriented Marketing Graphic Designer to help the European Publishing Office and its marketing team to accelerate growth and reach millions of players across all platforms (PC, Mobile, Console, etc.).
As a Marketing Graphic Designer, you'll work with publishing and development teams to build innovative marketing assets that resonate with European target audiences.
You will join a lean, passionate and dedicated team working across multiple communities, platforms and games such as Black Desert, Shadow Arena and upcoming releases such as Crimson Desert, DokeV and PLAN 8. This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to ensure all Pearl Abyss current and future titles will achieve European goals.
Responsibilities:
- Visually design value propositions and key messages that bond the right players to our games and produce best in class creatives which are consistent across all channels and resonate with our target audience.
- Export and localise designs across different asset types, including banners, screenshots, thumbnails, posters, newsletters, landing pages, videos and gifs.
- Develop graphic briefs to facilitate requests from cross-functional teams.
- Together with the marketing and social teams, carefully judge asset performance and make recommendations for improvement.
- Make recommendations on marketing funnel optimization and visual flow development.
Requirements
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Graphic Design and Media Arts.
- Experience in designing user flows and understanding of marketing best practices.
- Deep experience in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- Experience in - and desire to- performing day-to-day execution and optimization activities.
- Ability to multitask more than one project at the same time.
- Works quickly under pressure.
- An active interest in video games is considered a positive.
- Creative mind and storytelling skills.
- Organized, dependable, knowledgeable and detail oriented.
- Full professional competence in English.
Preferred qualifications
- 2+ years' experience in post-production and/or motion design studio. Agency and/or gaming experience is welcome.
- Experience in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere, Understanding of codecs, raw video files, exporting, transcoding and compression.
- Animated (HTML) marketing design experience is a plus.
- Korean language capabilities are a plus.
- Experience in animation.
